How do I fix my widescreen resolution.?

I just bought a Hannspree 22%26quot; widescreen monitor. It's native resolution is 1680X1050. However, my Radeon 9200 Video card does not give me a 1680X1050 option. I have already updated the Radeon driver, and it still does not let me change to the correct resolution. Please help! If I can't figure this out I'm going to have to return the monitor. How do I fix my widescreen resolution.?
dont return the monitor ( it's a good one ). Just buy a new video card that supports your native resolution. ATI Radeon HD2600 and up or NVidia 7200 and up will do.How do I fix my widescreen resolution.?
It's possible the video card doesn't support that high of a resolution, but if you can change the video card settings to get a manual resolution, then you could try that. How do I fix my widescreen resolution.?
You should always buy a monitor that supports your video cards native resolution, and a video card that supports your monitors native resolution. Granted your system will work now, but it won't be pretty. I suggest if your video card doesn't support wide screen resolutions and you want to keep your current video card that you write down the supported resolution and go back to where you bought the monitor and find one that works with your video card.
